Wetlands by Korogoro Creek

This work was created plein air at a beautiful spot amongst the mangroves along the Korogoro Creek. I used automatic and rhythmic drawing to capture the essence of the landscape. Using brushes and twigs from the ground around me I created marks over acrylic washes on cotton rag papers until I had a few paintings. This one was the simplest but also the most complex, capturing the balance of this peaceful place.
