Blackstone is excited to present this very exciting debut solo exhibition by Newcastle based artist and rising figure Jessica Gilbert!

Jessica Gilbert is a Newcastle Art Space studio artist and has exhibited in various galleries, groups shows and prize selections over the past few years. This dedication to her practice saw Gilbert win the 'People’s Choice Award' at Blackstone Gallery Works on Paper Prize 2021.

2022 saw her complete an Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts at Hunter Street Art School, Highly Commended in Hunter Emerging Art Prize and the Carol Duvall Painting Prize, and was titled for the 'Fresh Talent' Prize for The Newcastle Club Foundation Art Prize. Also in 2022. Most recently, Jessica was accepted into the Newcastle Art Space Mentorship program, where she was paired with James Drinkwater for guidance.
